Weddings

Any venue, any shape, and laughter where it belongs

A celebrant-led wedding is written from scratch, for the two of you. I find the story you already have, put it into words worth standing up for, and lead the day so you can simply live it.

A ceremony that could only be yours

Couples choose a celebrant because they want the ceremony to feel like them, not like a form being read out. Here is what that freedom actually means.

Any venue

A registrar needs a licensed venue. We do not. A barn, a hilltop, a marquee, the garden where you got engaged: if your people can gather there, your ceremony can happen there.

Any structure

There is no set script. Music you actually listen to, readings that mean something, your nan giving a blessing, your dog carrying the rings. We build the running order around you, and I hold it steady on the day.

Your story, properly told

I take time to get to know you both before I write a word, so the ceremony sounds like the two of you: warm, true, and with a touch of humour where it belongs. That last part is a promise.

Any ritual

I will happily perform a ritual just for the two of you, whether it is a tradition you have grown up with or something we invent together.

  • A handfasting
  • A sand ceremony
  • A ring blessing
  • A totally bespoke ritual

How it works

Three steps, no mystery.

  1. We meet and talk

Usually over a cuppa. Tell me how you met, what you love about each other, what you dread about being the centre of attention. No forms, no pressure.

  2. I write your ceremony with you

I draft it, you read it, we tweak it: as many times as it takes until every word sounds right. Nothing is said on the day that you have not already read and approved.

  3. I deliver it on the day

I arrive in good time, steady the nerves (yours, and everyone else's), and lead your ceremony calmly from the first welcome to the final cheer. You just get married.

The one where I became a cartoon

This illustration of me, vow book in hand, captures how I feel at every wedding I lead: genuinely delighted to be there. I asked for it to live on this page, so here it is.

Behind the smile is the useful bit: years of nursing taught me to stay calm when it matters, and weddings are full of moments that matter. Late flowers, lost rings, a best man who has gone pale: I have a steady voice for all of it.

I would rather show you one real message than a page of polished praise.

Thank you Marian, it was perfect, couldn't thank you enough xx

Let's plan your day

Tell me a little about the two of you and the day you are imagining. No obligation, no rush: it starts with a conversation.
